IT Support
As an IT student at Cyprus College Limassol, I have gained throughout my personal experiences and challenges a broad range of skills aimed to help people who need my help and big organizations manage their tasks,problems and daily software problems. Throughout my journey i have learned to provide assistance with hardware and software problems,to make sure that the systems are secured, and offer basic or even some more advanced training to users. My education has provided me with the knowledge to play a big role in maintaining big business operations by findig solutions for technical difficulties and making sure that all systems are functioning properly.
Network Setup
As a student focused more in network setup, i have learned about the problems of computer networks, focusing more on devices such as routers, switches and servers. The process starts firstly with planning the network layout i am asked to map, considering all aspects like the needed bandwidth, future improvement , and all security measures and threats that could possible be a problem. I have gained a lot of experience in installing and configuring a lot of networking equipment, establishing connections, and securing the network by using firewalls and encryption protocols. This has lead me to understand better how a well set network enhances productivity by ensuring a reliable communication and an all around connectivity within an organization.
Troubleshooting
During my college experience as an IT, I have learned that troubleshooting is a major skill for identifying and solving technical issues productivly. I discovered the importance of identifying issues and collecting relevant information about systems and surroundings. I practiced using different tools and techniques to isolate problems, which often require checking hardware components, software settings, and network connections. This physical experience has taught me that troubleshooting requires strong critical thinking and complex abilities, as it frequently involves solving complex problems that can affect users and business operations.
